Charming and Picturesque
The Miller's House, a charming adult only bed and breakfast is located in Milford, one of Prince Edwards County's most picturesque villages. Perched on the banks of Black Creek and overlooking a scenic waterfall, the Milford Millpond and historic Scott's Mill, the house was built in the early nineteenth century.
Century Home Charm
The house has been renovated to reflect the charm of a Century Home. The bed-sitting rooms, with private modern baths, are furnished with carefully chosen antiques set on restored pine floors. Guests can relax in the Main Parlour with the comfort of a warm fire. Breakfast is served in the spectacular Dining Room. Beautiful pine furniture, fine china set on crisp cotton tablecloths compliment a hearty county breakfast.
A Piece of County History
The builder of the house was James Clapp, the son of Joseph Clapp who had built the first two mills in the Milford area between 1800 and 1810. James, himself, established his own saw and grist mills nearby, one of which called Scott's Mill after the latest miller, can be seen from The Miller's House grounds.
